About Beau's Landing

Our Story

Beau's Landing was born from a family's lived experience raising a child with Down syndrome. We've seen firsthand how limited opportunities are for individuals with disabilities, especially adults, to socialize, make friends, and simply enjoy life like their peers.

Too often, evenings and weekends mean isolation — not by choice, but because accessible, inclusive social spaces simply don't exist.

We knew our community needed something different. Something better. A place designed with dignity, joy, and belonging at its core.

That's why we're building Beau's Landing.
Our Mission
Beau's Landing is dedicated to creating a safe, vibrant community space where individuals with disabilities can:

• Socialize and form friendships in a relaxed, inviting space that feels natural and fun—far from a classroom setting
• Enjoy activities that match their interests and abilities
• Experience independence while feeling supported
• Feel celebrated for exactly who they are

At the same time, we provide caregivers and families with much-needed respite, peace of mind, and connection to a community that understands.
Our Vision
Our Vision for the Future

Starting with our 30×60 recreation center, we’re building a vibrant, inclusive space where everyone can:

• Enjoy social nights in a welcoming, lounge-style atmosphere
• Participate in day programs with activities and quiet options
• Future ADA-accessible gym for inclusive fitness and sports
• Future short-term stays in a cozy, accessible building with 4–5 bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a lounge.

Everything we create is designed with accessibility, dignity, and inclusion at its core.

WHY
"BEAU'S LANDING"?
Beau’s Landing is named for our family, Beauchamp, and represents the welcoming, fun, and inclusive community we’ve always hoped for. Over the years, we’ve watched our son, Zavier, and his friends long for spaces like the ones their siblings, cousins, and neurotypical peers enjoy—places that feel social and engaging, not childlike or classroom-like. They want to hang out with friends, try new activities, and have independence, not spend time with parents supervising.

As caregivers ourselves, we also understand how hard it is to find a safe, supportive place where you can leave your loved one and take a break—whether it’s for a date night, errands, or simply a few hours of adult time. Beau’s Landing is designed to provide that peace of mind for families, while giving Zavier and others a space to connect, explore, and just be themselves.

“Landing” represents a place of belonging, fun, and freedom—a home base where friendships grow, independence is encouraged, and families can relax knowing their loved ones are cared for in a safe, inclusive environment.
